Your Old Worthington Workout Awaits Snap Fitness opened its doors in Old Worthington on January 4, at a time when New Year's fitness-related resolutions are at their peak. “We were thrilled to open a location in Worthington,” said Mary Williams, store manager and personal trainer. “Many of our clients live within walking distance of our gym and love being able to work out in their own community.”

Part of an international chain with more than 2,000 locations, Snap Fitness is known for its boutique-style gyms, affordable memberships and 24-hour access. So, if you prefer a 2 a.m. workout, you're in luck. Surprisingly, Williams said many people appreciate the location's nighttime hours. “We like to be available for folks, like nurses, who work odd hours and may have trouble fitting in a workout during the day," she said.

Snap Fitness typically locates in existing buildings, creating a unique look and feel in each spot. When the company decided to expand to Worthington, they were delighted to find space in the Worthington Hardware building at 661 High Street. In an attempt to preserve the integrity of the structure, they included the original hardwood floors and moved the Worthington Hardware sign to inside the gym.

Whether you’re working on a fitness resolution or you just want a friendly, neighborhood gym, here are few reasons to check out Snap Fitness:

  1. YOU are the product: From a knowledgeable staff and 24-hour access to high-quality cardio and weight equipment, the focus is always on the client experience.
  1. Low monthly payments, minus the contract: You won’t be asked to sign a contract at Snap Fitness. You’ll simply pay an initiation fee that allows you to enjoy the same low monthly payments for life.
  1. 24-hour access worldwide – If you’re a member at one Snap Fitness location, you're a member at all of them—for no additional cost. This is great news for frequent travelers.
  1. Personal training for all experience levels – “We help customize personal training programs that are unique to each client,” Williams said. “Once the weather warms up, we’re excited to also offer outdoor boot-camp-style group sessions.”
