Meet the Blogger
I've always had a soft spot for downtowns. I’m equally in love with Manhattan or small-town USA, so size really doesn’t matter. In my mind, it’s more about
experiencing a feeling of community. So when Mindy Mace, executive director of the Convention & Visitors Bureau of Worthington, asked me if I’d be interested in penning some blogs and social media content, I didn’t hesitate. I was already a fan of Downtown Worthington. I knew that sense of community was firmly in place.
On a hot day in the middle of July, Mindy introduced me to many of the merchants in Olde Worthington. Since then, I’ve written about The Worthington Inn and Fritzy Jacobs. A post about Denig Jewelers is just around the corner. And many more business profiles are scheduled to appear in the weeks and months ahead. Thanks to all the business
owners for greeting me with smiles and friendly handshakes. I appreciate that you are so willing to share your stories and passions.
For those of you I haven’t met yet, I look forward to that opportunity in the near future. I hope you’ll be willing to share important dates so I can list them on the event calendar, and I look forward to writing about your business, your experiences—and the unique feeling that makes Downtown Worthington a special place for locals and visitors alike.
If you’re a reader, I welcome your comments on the blog, but more important, I hope you will learn to rely on this Web site and blog as the go-to place for all things related to Downtown Worthington.
Thanks for your support!
