Worthington is launching its Winter Farmers Market on Saturday, November 3, making it the only year-round market in Central Ohio. Held indoors at The Shops at Worthington Place, the Winter Farmers Market will be open every Saturday from November 3 through April 27 (except November 24) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. You’ll find all 35 vendors at the north end of the mall near the children’s play area.

The primary difference between the winter and summer markets is the kind of fruits and vegetables you’ll find. Here’s a peek at some of the things you can expect to see in the weeks ahead:

• Leafy greens like kale, spinach and arugula

“We listened to what our customers wanted,” said Jaime Moore, market director and co-owner of Wayward Seed Farm. “People wanted more diversity, and fruits and vegetables were a priority.” But best of all, having more space in the mall allows for greater flexibility. “People can shop around and socialize with their friends, bring the kids to play, and have coffee or breakfast. It’s a better experience for the customer, and that’s the true spirit of the Farmers Market,” she added.
