Shakers Public House Brings Wings and More Fun to Worthington
Shakers Public House opened earlier this spring in Worthington after being unfortunately forced to move from its West Side location. Owners Spencer and Caitlin Campbell had built up a big following for their pub, but a major fire damaged their building beyond repair. But the West Side’s loss is Worthington’s gain!
Shakers found a new home in the former J&D’s Place on East Wilson Bridge Road (in the same stretch that houses Zen Bee Meadery). After months of renovations, they unveiled a new look to the massive space, including the addition of colorful murals, new equipment, and more than 30 TVs lining the walls.
Shakers features a full bar, with loads of beer on tap and by the bottle/can. Visit from 5-6 p.m. daily for Power Hour for specials like draft beers and well shots for only $1.
Their menu includes everything from appetizers and wings, to sandwiches and burgers, to salads and desserts. Some of the favorites include the “Ten Mile” pretzel with beer cheese and honey mustard, the fried mushrooms, and the fried pepperoni. They offer specials all throughout the week, from deals on smashburgers to discounts on chicken nuggets and more.
But the real favorite at Shakers Public House is the wings! Community groups dedicated to the best wings in Columbus routinely sing the praises of Shakers’ wings. They feature 22 different sauces and dry rubs, from flavors like Peekent to Honey BBQ, Garlic Menace to Drunken Teriyaki. If you’re curious to try them, hit up Shakers on Wednesdays, when wings are $1 all day long.
Shakers already hosts plenty of events, too, from karaoke nights to football-watching parties. The space includes a giant fenced-in patio, billiards room, and plenty of room to gather with a big group.
Shakers Public House is open daily from 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Follow them on Facebook at Shakers Public House and on Instagram at @shakers_public_house to keep up with daily specials and more news.
