Although the official start of summer is still a month away, we've definitely rounded the corner to a time of longer days and warmer nights. And that's good enough for me. Lucky for all of us, a new season means new classes and new events at the MAC--Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center in Worthington. Here's a closer look at a few MAC highlights you won't want to miss in the days ahead. The Capital City Chamber Players

Friday, May 31 at 8 p.m.

This is a dynamic group of professional classical musicians who live and work in Ohio. Some members of the ensemble are graduates of the nation's top music schools and conservatories, and their careers have already taken them throughout the country and around the globe.

Thursday Night Concert Series: Benny Edwards

Thursday, June 6 at 8 p.m.

Benny Edwards is a grassroots folk/rock singer songwriter from the Detroit area who uses his inclusive music to celebrate cultural differences and bring business back into the local communities.

2013 Governor's Regional Youth Art Exhibit - Region 1

May 9 - June 23

The Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition is dedicated to the educational and artistic advancement of Ohio's youth. More than 12,000 art entries were submitted and judged through 15 regional competitions. These regional winners then competed at the state level.

Summer Art and Dance Camps

Sign up now for a host of youth and adult theater, art and dance camps and workshops. From beginning ballet, Zumba and tap, to pop-up art, cartooning and photography, there really is something for everyone this summer at the MAC.
