November 30, 2014

Noon to 5:30 p.m.

The Holiday Open House features entertainment, carriage rides, refreshments, beautiful shops and eateries, and of course—a visit from the popular man in the red suit. This year you can enjoy live folk music, Christmas caroling, cookie decorating, gift wrapping, hot cocoa and more. The official tree lighting takes place at 5:30 p.m. on the Village Green.

Illuminating Shopping

December 4, 2014

6 to 9 p.m.

Join family and friends for dinner, drinks, shopping and live holiday music in historic Downtown Worthington. High Street will be lined with festive luminaries, and local retailers will keep their shops open later than usual. Here's a sneak peek at a few of the happenings:

  • Igloo Letterpress: Everybody's favorite letterpress shop will be hosting a drop-in project in its print studio. People can print their own coaster or note card, or simply check out the studio with a brief tour of the presses. The Snow House Gift Shop (next door) features local items, along with many Igloo originals.
  • House Wine: The regular Thursday Night Wine Tasting—only $15—will be in full swing during the event. They'll be pouring cabernets from 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Sassafras Bakery: Guests can step into the kitchen for a behind-the-scenes peek at the production area. Witness an up-close demonstration of how to mix pie crust by hand while getting all the answers to your holiday baking questions.
