Join a Columbus Food Adventures Old Worthington Tour
Columbus Food Adventures offers almost a dozen tours that help guests explore the local dining scene, from walking tours of historic neighborhoods to themed itineraries discovering taco trucks, desserts, international eats, and more.
And guess what? They feature an Old Worthington tour!
Hosted in conjunction with the Worthington Farmers Market outdoor season, Columbus Food Adventures’ Old Worthington tour takes you on a culinary itinerary that explores both the market and restaurants in the historic district.
Tour guests book their tickets through Columbus Food Adventures’ site, then meet downtown in late morning. The first half hour of the tour takes you to various farmers market vendors, where you meet the owners, learn about their businesses, what they offer, and sample their fare. All the dishes are collected and enjoyed at House Wine; you’ll taste everything from cheese and charcuterie to pickles and crackers.
From there it’s a leisurely stroll through the district as the farmers market is packing up. While you’re walking you’ll learn about Worthington’s history, then visit local eateries like Everest Cuisine, La Chatelaine, Joya’s Café, Worthington Tavern, and Kittie’s Highline. (Be aware that exact stops may vary.)
At each stop you’ll learn about the history of the restaurants, their focus and flagship dishes, then sample food or drink to get a sense of what they do and what they contribute to the city’s dining scene. Whether you’re a long-time Worthington resident or a visitor to the area, it’s a great way to get to know the city!
