Concerts on the Green
Summer evenings don't get any better than Sunday Concerts on the Green in Worthington. Beginning this Saturday, May 19, these free, family-friendly concerts will feature an eclectic lineup of musical entertainment. From classic rock to classic swing, there's a little something to suit everyone's taste this summer. The concerts take place on the northwest quadrant of the Village Green at the corner of High Street and Dublin-Granville Road. Parking is available at Kilbourne Middle School, Griswold Center, Worthington Public Library, Huntington Bank and the Worthington Presbyterian Church. In the case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held at the Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center, located at 777 Evening Street. The Thomas Worthington High School award-winning Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble kick off the summer with an old-fashioned concert in the park that begins at 7 p.m. Here's the complete summer schedule, including a few special Saturday concerts, so mark your calendar today for these upcoming events.

The Worthington Chorus has been entertaining central Ohio audiences since 1976, and is a proud member of the Worthington Arts Council. The Chorus will present a variety of songs from their upcoming show “Broadway or Bust.”

Kavan (Elvis) with Columbus Horns
‘60s & ‘70s Cover Songs and Elvis Tribute
Kavan, appearing with the Columbus Horns, is a nationally recognized Elvis tribute artist and has been a fan of Elvis Presley his entire life, performing on stage since the age of three. He was chosen among all American Elvis tribute artists for a BBC television Elvis Tribute special that was filmed in London, England where he was named “The World’s #1 Rock-n-Roll Elvis.” Most recently he was named grand champion at the 2013 Midwest Tribute to the King competition.

Marching Band
The largest and most successful brass and percussion college alumni band in the United States, the band is directed by Dr. Paul Droste and Jon Waters. An ice cream social takes place at the Presbyterian Church after the concert from 6 to 8 p.m.

Patriotic and Concert Literature
Hailing from across Ohio and beyond, the soldier-musicians of the 122nd Army Band deliver an entertaining and patriotic concert band experience. The 122nd Army Band is based out of Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base and performs for public concerts, parades and military ceremonies throughout the state.

Children's Concert featuring Endless Recess
Endless Recess is a group of five well seasoned and fully tenderized parent/musicians. We play your favorite upbeat interactive dance songs from movie soundtracks, TV programs and classic party songs. Their tasty music selections appeal to both kids and adults, making it fun for the entire family.

'80s Flashback Party featuring The Reaganomics
Join us for an evening of fun with the Midwest's most entertaining '80s dance band. A DJ will play music from 7:30 to 8 p.m, followed by The Reaganomics from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
