Celebrating Fall at Wren House Gifts
Wren House Gifts will host its annual Fall Open House October 10 through 13, beginning with wine and hors d'oeuvres on Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. "That's our customer appreciation night," said Owner Mandy Enoch, adding that the purpose of the fall festival is also to welcome in the season by featuring some of the shop's popular items. All Halloween items will be discounted 25 percent throughout the weekend event. Here are some of the items you can expect to see at this year's Wren House Gifts Fall Open House:
Handmade painted gourds: A husband-and-wife team from Bluffton, Ohio grow these popular gourds, dry them, and then bring them to life with painted faces. According to Enoch, these popular seasonal items sell fast, so get there early for the best selection.
Lori Mitchell: Love Lori Mitchell all year round? Then you won't be able to resist her Halloween figurines. Those cute, little bodies and irresistible faces are the perfect Halloween collectibles.
Jenny Brown: Handmade by Jenny in Columbus, Ohio, this line of clay ornaments and figurines is growing in popularity--another reason
not to wait until the last minute to shop for your favorites.
Jolene: From wreaths to floral arrangements to hand-painted furniture, customers are lured to anything with this Dublin, Ohio-based consignor's name on it.
Enoch fills the shop with items from about 50 consignors, including antiques, furniture, gifts and a wide assortment of collectibles. While she continues to feature local artists and handmade items, she is always on the lookout for new and interesting things to sell.
