Griswold Center Celebrates 20th Anniversary with a Special Event

Past_Present_finallogoFor the past 20 years, the Griswold Center has been enriching the lives of Worthington’s adult community. To celebrate this milestone, the Center is hosting a special event—Worthington Past and Present. The event, which will take place June 27 and 28, is being presented by the Worthington Historical Society, the Worthington Farmers Market and J. Liu Restaurant, and sponsored by Wesley Glen and Laurel Health Care Company. About the Event

The family friendly event kicks off on Friday, June 27 with a special reception for members. On Saturday, June 28, community members of all ages are invited to gather on the Village Green from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a variety of events including a special live musical and theatrical presentation, “Ohio History through Music and Storytelling,” by Hank Arbaugh.

This event not only raises awareness about the many benefits of the Griswold Center, but it also celebrates Worthington’s rich history. Attendees will learn about the city’s past through:

  • A guided bus tour of Worthington neighborhoods
  • Historical and interactive activities, such as butter churning
  • Crafts and games for children

And—not to be missed—J. Liu Restaurant will provide some delicious cuisine.

“We’re really looking forward to this wonderful event,” said Ryan Cooper, customer service coordinator at the Center. “The Griswold Center has been an important part of this community for the past 20 years, and we’d love for more people to know about it and get involved.”
