Dining, Drinking, and Shopping in Linworth
The intersection of Dublin-Granville Road and Linworth Road has seen some exponential growth in recent years. The budding strip has expanded to include several bars and restaurants, a brewery, nail salons, carryouts, a pharmacy, yoga studio, an urgent care, floral shop, and more. Let’s take a look at a few of the businesses that make this the place to be!
By Nicholas Dekker
George’s Linworth Diner
George Cela, owner of the Beechwold Diner, opened his second location in Linworth in early 2019. He and his dedicated team whip up hearty breakfasts and lunches, from omelets to country fried steak, burgers to meatloaf melts.
Tomatillos Authentic Mexican + Diamonds Ice Cream
With its spacious dining room and big corner patio, Tomatillos is a happening spot for fresh salsas, margaritas, tacos, giant burritos, enchiladas, and other specialties. Just leave room for dessert! Connected to the restaurant is Diamonds Ice Cream, a shop serving dozens of ice cream flavors plus paletas, colorful frozen treats filled with fresh fruits, cookies, cereals, and other confections.
JT’s Pizza & Pub
We all know that Worthington has a lot of pizza, and JT’s is a popular stop for their expert pies and hearty pub fare. Order up a Founder’s Favorite or a buffalo chicken pizza, for sure, but don’t forget the wings, garlic parmesan fries, and mozzarella sticks. The same owners have also begun operating JT’s Grab & Go across the street, next door to Random Precision. Stop there for snacks, wine, beer, and other sundries.
Random Precision Brewing Company
The taproom at Random Precision offers large community tables and a long bar backed by white subway tile, all the perfect setting for sipping their selection of sour beers, from IPAs to red ales, stouts to porters, goses to Berliner Weisses. There are also barrel-aged cocktails, wines, snacks, board games, and the occasional food truck parked on site. Never had a sour beer before? Learn about them – and the wide variety of them – from owner Jason Grable!
Cameron’s American Bistro
Did you know restaurateur Cameron Mitchell got his start in Worthington? He opened his eponymous bistro more than 25 years ago, and during that time it’s been the spot for elegant but approachable dining. Head there for a lovely dinner of cocktails and wine, crispy calamari to crab-stuffed walleye.
Borgata Pizza Cafe
We told you Worthington is pizza central! Borgata is another favorite stop, known for their giant New York style pizzas, plus their pastas, sandwiches, and starters like bruschetta, homemade meatballs, and stuffed peppers.
And there’s much more to check out in Linworth, from classes at GoYoga to pub fare at The Crafty Pint, live music and drinks at The Blarney Stone Tavern, Chinese takeout from Main Moon, flowers from Up-Towne Floral, personal services at TL Nails salon, the Linworths Pharmacy, Worthington Urgent Care, and more.
