Christmas and New Year’s Plans in Worthington
Making plans around Christmas or New Year’s? Check out what’s happening around Worthington! We’ve rounded up some of the special hours and offerings for several local bars, restaurants, and shops.
Highline Coffee Co.
Highline will keep you fueled up over the holidays! They’re closed Christmas and New Year’s Day, but they’ll be open to fulfill your caffeine needs from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. Christmas Eve and 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on December 26th. On New Year’s Eve they’ll be serving from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The Whitney House
Grab a meal on Christmas Eve at The Whitney House from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., or finish out 2020 with one last dinner or stop for drinks. They will be open New Year’s Eve until 10 p.m.
La Chatelaine
On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, swing by La Chatelaine for breakfast or lunch, or even just coffee and an almond croissant. They’re open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days, and would make a perfect stop for fresh bread or pastries for the holidays.
Zaftig Brewing
Zaftig Brewing’s taproom is open for limited hours, from 3-6 p.m., on both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Perfect for a last minute pint with friends, or to pick up bottles and fill growlers as gifts!
House Wine
The wine shop and beer bar will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day, but you can join them for a special Thursday night wine tasting on December 26, featuring Cava, Prosecco, and other sparkling wines. You can spend New Year’s Eve there, too – they’ll be open until 1 a.m.
The Shops at Worthington Place
Santa will still be making appearances at The Shops at Worthington Place through Christmas Eve. He’s there from noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday; noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. On Christmas Eve itself you can visit Jolly Old St. Nick from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Level One Bar + Arcade
Level One has become a favorite stop for all ages to play new and vintage arcade games. They’ll be closed Christmas Eve, but open special hours on Christmas Day from 6 p.m. to midnight. From December 30 through January 3 they’ll be open at noon everyday, and remain kid-friendly until 6 p.m. (They are closed New Year’s Day, though!)

Natalie’s Coal Fired Pizza
Natalie’s is welcoming 2020 with an evening of great music featuring Teeny Tucker. Tickets to the New Year’s Eve show include party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Get your tickets here!
The Light of Seven Matchsticks
Just downstairs from Natalie’s, their underground cocktail bar will feature DJ Texas Hellkitten starting at 9 p.m. Snag a ticket and you’ll also get a complimentary Cava toast at midnight.
Sushiko
This sushi spot at Crossroads will serve lunch and dinner on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. (They take a break between 3-4:30 p.m., FYI.) While they’re closed Christmas Day, you can visit for dinner on New Year’s Day from 4:30-10:30 p.m.
Pies & Pints
Order up your pies and pints before they close at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. They’ll re-open the 26th. On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, they’ll be open regular hours, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Helen’s Asian Kitchen
Like many Chinese restaurants, Helen’s continues their standard hours over the holidays. They open daily around 11 a.m. for lunch and close around 9:30 p.m.
Aangan Indian Bistro
This delightful Indian restaurant at Crosswoods will maintain regular hours over the holidays: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch, 5-10 p.m. for dinner. The only exception is that they will close at 9 p.m. on Christmas Day.
Ruckmoor Pub
This long-running pub at Crossroads continues their regular streak of early and late hours over the holidays. You can visit for pints or billiards from 5:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Christmas Eve, and from 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Christmas Day. They’ll be back at from 5:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day!
J. Liu
You can schedule Christmas Eve dinner at J. Liu – they’ll be open until 7 p.m. Or visit for a later meal on New Year’s Eve; they’ll be open until about 11 p.m. that night. J. Liu is closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Borgata Pizza Cafe
Save yourself from cooking on Christmas Eve by ordering up some pizza or pasta from Borgata. They’re closed Christmas day, but will be there to fulfill your pizza needs on New Year’s Eve from noon to 9 p.m. and New Year’s Day from 4-9 p.m.
Over the Counter
While this pharmacy-themed bar and restaurant will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, you can stop in for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve.
The Crafty Pint
Similar to Over the Counter, The Crafty Pint will be running lunch hours on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and then will be closed on the holidays themselves.
The Half Pint
The Half Pint in Old Worthington will be closed Christmas Day, but you can join them for lunch or dinner on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (the bar remains open until 6). Finish out 2019 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, or join them for pints and burgers from noon to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
Wurst and Bier
Stock up on German sausages and beer at this Crossroads pub. Visit them from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Christmas Eve (they’re closed the next day), or from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on both New Year’s Eve and Day. On New Year’s Day they’re running a special of roasting pork and sauerkraut with mashed potatoes and gravy!
Cameron’s American Bistro
Cameron Mitchell’s flagship restaurant will be closed Christmas Eve and Day, and New Year’s Day, but you can join them for dinner and drinks on New Year’s Eve from 4 p.m. to midnight!
