PRODUCER & MARKET PARTNER NEWS

Bite This by Annie, Booth #81, Market Emporium

S.P.I.R.I.T, SPIRIT, LETS HEAR IT - or whatever Oli said.

We heard there’s a big Buckeye game on Friday, so we’re teaming up with our friend @thebuckeyelady to bring you a cookie that we’ve only done ONCE before.

The PB Cookies & Cream Buckeye Fat Boi - a peanut butter cookies & cream fat boi base, topped with chocolate ganache & garnished with a cookies & cream Buckeye. Honestly if that’s not the luck you need to win the sports and do the things I don’t know what is.

Red Moon Ranch, Booth #32, North Corridor - East

Bulk beef available!

I have 2 quarters or 1 half beef available for January! You choose all your own cuts, and I walk you through all your options. This is an awesome way to get premium beef at a discounted price, and make sure you always have beef in the freezer. We dry age, right down to the ground beef, for 2 weeks. This makes our beef top quality, with increased flavor and tenderness.

You get free delivery for locals, or delivery to the Worthington Farmers Market. It will be ready for pick up by the end of January! You can find pricing and additional info on the website, or feel free to send me a message!

Rock Dove Farm, Booth #51, North Corridor - East

I will be crawling under the secondary greenhouse cover to harvest for @worthingtonfarmersmarket this Saturday. I will feel VERY silly if y'all don't come out and get the freshest salad in Ohio.

Rock Dove Farm, Booth #51, North Corridor - East

As we put the finishing touches on our seedling list for this upcoming season, we thought you might get an early look at what we are offering.

We frequently sell out of popular varieties, so if you want something specific, please order early https://mailchi.mp/5c9d70da1769/thinking-about-gardening

Sitara’s Sweets by Kat, Booth #6, Central Fountain

Alright friends, it's time to start thinking about surprising your sweetheart! Don't be caught empty-handed! I'm now taking pre-orders for Valentine's Day! I'll have delicious cupcakes, cookie and red velvet cake hearts, sugar roses and so much more! I'm also going to be previewing some special winter flavors this week. Toffee cookies, ginger cookies with a sugar crunch topping, and a Mexican hot chocolate with a special sugar topping!

The Local Grind, Booth #10, West Corridor

SNAP/EBT & Produce Perks

You can grow sprouts and microgreens all year across Ohio, including from the comfort of a windowsill. If you’re shopping at a participating location with SNAP/EBT, you can get extra sprouts and microgreens for FREE.

Here are some of the differences between sprouts and microgreens:

  • Sprouts are just-germinated seeds, usually ready to eat in less than a week. They are usually grown in water/jars and don’t need sunlight. They are higher (than microgreens) in amino acids.

  • Microgreens are typically grown in soil and include the first leaves of a baby plant. They need sunlight. They are higher (than sprouts) in carotenoids and organic acids, with low sugar.

You can use Produce Perks to get a $1 for $1 match on fruits and vegetables at participating locations. Visit produceperks.org to learn more.
