WKHS Environmental Science Club

The WKHS Environmental Science Club is having a pumpkin drop off in the parking lot of Worthington Kilbourne HS November 7the from 12:00 to 3:00 pm for free compost.

Backyard Compost

Pumpkins can always be placed in backyard compost (but remove seeds if not wishing to grow pumpkin plants!) or left in the woods or yards for deer, squirrels, and other wildlife to eat. They are great for the soil.

Compost Exchange Participants

Curbside compost pick up participants can put their whole pumpkins out with their compost bucket for pick-up by The Compost Exchange.

Farmer’s Market Compost Exchange

Whole pumpkins can also be dropped off at The Compost Exchange booth at The Worthington Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings between 9:00 am and Noon.

You do not have to be a compost participant to drop off here!

Worthington Recreation Center GoZero Drop-off

Those participating in the City of Worthington Food Waste Program can bring their pumpkins to the green GoZero bins at the Worthington Community Center parking lot for drop off.
