Japanese Children’s Day is a Japanese national holiday which takes place annually on May 5, the fifth day of the fifth month, and is part of Golden Week. It is a day set aside to respect children’s personalities and to celebrate their happiness.
We will honor this event at the Doll Museum on May 6th by flying koinobori flags, or carp-shaped flags as is tradition. We will also share the Hinamatsuri, a set of ornamental dolls from Worthington’s sister city, Sayama on display in the Doll Museum.
