Holiday Open House and Tree Lighting

Old Worthington will host its annual Holiday Open House on Sunday, December 1 (always the Sunday after Thanksgiving) from noon till 5:00 p.m. Bring the family to enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season, including horse-drawn carriage rides, train rides, live music and a photo opportunity with Santa.

Local retailers will be offering special promotions and sidewalk sales.

Stay afterwards for the City's annual Tree Illumination on the SE Village Green!

CANDY CANE LANE: Enter a psychedelic red and white candy wonderland between Old Bag of Nails and Oasis Face Bar.

THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS: Seek & Find the 12 musical favorites in a stunning swinging holiday wonderland.

Stroll the streets of beautiful Old Worthington, lit up with luminaries! The shops are open late to give you a chance to check everyone off your holiday shopping list. We’ll have horse drawn carriage rides, a DJ, and so much more!

“Twas…”: A Special Holiday Doll Museum Display

In time for the holidays in the Old Rectory parlor, the Doll Museum presents its annual exhibition. Dolls will be preparing for Christmas: gift wrapping, baking cookies, tree decorating, greeting card writing, and hanging stockings.

From November 6th to December 21st we invite you to be our guest and enjoy this special Christmas display.

Add a visit to the Doll Museum and the special exhibits, "Best Friends" and "Steiff" for $3 per person. Or visit the Shop at the Old Rectory for some unique holiday gifts of consigned antiques and collectibles, Society merchandise and Worthington memorabilia.

Letters to Santa Mailbox

𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙨... Santa's Mailbox is returning to Worthington!

Starting November 22, you can drop off your letters to Mr. Claus outside the Griswold Center. Please be sure that your letters include your name and address, so he can send you one back. Santa's Mailbox will return to the North Pole on December 17, so don't miss out!


Mrs. Claus’ Special Senior Shop and Social

Come browse 100+ small pieces of affordable art and Holiday decorations for gifts, meet new friends, and socialize with old ones. Some of the gallery’s artists will be present. This is a special afternoon for over 55 and their friends! Free entrance - refreshments will be served.

Orange Johnson Christmas Open House

The Worthington Historical Society invites you to visit “An Old Time Christmas” at the Orange Johnson House at 956 High Street in Worthington while it is decorated for the Christmas season.  Casey Cook will play the Trondlin Fortepiano in the sitting room from 1:30 - 3:30 pm.

Once again, the Society will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Worthington Resource Pantry.  In lieu of an admission cost, we invite guests to donate one or more items to this valuable community program.  While members receive complimentary visits all year long, we extend the invitation to donate items to our Society community as well.

Please join us for an enjoyable afternoon of music and holiday merriment!

Columbus Rings Holiday Concert

Join us for our annual holiday concert in Worthington as we perform this year’s program, “Here We Come A-Carol Ringing!” which features arrangements of traditional Christmas Carols (with a few twists of tempo and meter, of course) by Dean Wagner, Ron Mallory, Brenda Austin, Matt Compton, Jason Krug, and more. We’ll be joined by Cody Grabbe on the clarinet, Aidan Terry on the double bass, Jim Lindroth and Zach Koors playing various percussion instruments. We can’t wait to ring in the holiday season with you!
