The Worthington Farmers Market Moves Indoors to the Mall
After a successful extended outdoor winter market in November and December, the Worthington Farmers Market will return indoors starting Saturday, February 5!
While an indoor market was in limbo for 2022, the planned construction timeline at The Shops at Worthington Place has allowed for a market every Saturday from February 5 through March 26.
“With winter finally blowing into Ohio these past couple of weeks, we're excited to move indoors for February and March, and provide a warm, comfortable shopping experience for customers,” says Market Manager Christine Hawks. “We're grateful to the Shops at Worthington Place for once again extending the use of their space to the Market.”
Hawks says shoppers can expect a familiar layout with producers grouped by category, as they were for last year's indoor market. The market has added a few more vendors, with several new producers joining up after their introductions at the November and December markets.
“We'll be utilizing the storefront opposite Aladdin's Eatery for a small, cafe-like experience,” Hawks adds. “Visitors to this space can enjoy their morning brew from Ramble Coffee and an assortment of handmade favorites from Dana Lee, Patty's Kitchen, Wootown Bagels, and Mondiale Collection.”
Hawks also notes that, due to their large set-ups, several producers like Oink Moo Cluck, Gillogly Orchard, and The Compost Exchange will be outside in the parking lot.
Market hours will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Facial coverings are required, per City of Worthington mandate, when visiting producers inside the mall.
