Support Local with the Worthington Dollars E-Gift Cards

This month The Worthington Partnership and Experience Worthington are proud to announce the new Worthington Dollars E-Gift Card, a community-based digital gift card that makes it easy to shop local.

The Worthington Dollars electronic card helps you support locally owned businesses while giving you an easy option for gifts. Participating merchants receive the full value of each transaction. They’re perfect for individuals and businesses large and small looking for gifts to friends, family, co-workers, and employees.

“We’ve had success with the cards already,” says Chloe Beck, marketing manager from The Whitney House. “People have already used them. I’m looking forward to those large corporations and large companies discovering us; we’re hoping they come back for happy hour or dinner or to order catering.”

Beck also says that the Worthington Dollars program will help outsiders discover Worthington as more of a destination for all sorts of activities. “I’m most excited to get Worthington restaurants and retail on one page, being looked at as one destination,” says. “It still shocks me that we get people coming in that have never been here before or have never heard of us. I hope for Worthington this can drive momentum to continue working together for our whole community.”

What is it?

Worthington Dollars is an all-digital electronic gift card that you purchase online and spend at a growing list of local businesses (as of this writing, there are 35 participating, with more added regularly!). The E-Gift Card is always available on your phone, and also makes for great gifts for birthdays, holidays, teacher appreciation, coach gifts, or just to show your appreciation to a friend.

Where can I use it?

You can spend the E-Gift Card at any of the 35+ Worthington businesses that accept them. The list keeps growing. You can spend the card on everything from flowers at Ampersand to blizzards at Dairy Queen, beverages at House Wine to Pilates classes at Movewell, apparel at Vernacular to gifts from Worthington Jewelers.

How does it work?

You can purchase cards in any denomination between $10-250 here: app.yiftee.com/gift-card/worthington--oh

They work like any other gift card. You can spend it at multiple locations, get refunds to the card, check balances online, etc.

Right now, if you buy a $100 eGift Card you’ll get a bonus of $25 courtesy of FCBank!

Does it cost anything?

There’s a small eDelivery fee of $1 per card and 5% of the total gift card value. Businesses are given the full value of each purchase you make with them.

Is there a physical card?

No, the Worthington Dollars are an E-Gift Card that you can access any time on your phone.

Consider Worthington Dollars as you’re shopping locally and giving gifts! It’s a great opportunity to keep your dollars local while encouraging others to do the same.
