Honey and Blue – Sweet and Sultry Music to Your Ears

With a growing number of local restaurants featuring live music, the city of Worthington has become a destination for music lovers throughout Columbus. Honey and Blue, a recent transplant from Los Angeles, is reaping the benefits of this booming music scene, and developing quite a following at The Worthington Inn. The band, a self-described mix of pop, blues and Americana, is fronted by singer/songwriters Adam Darling and Stephanie Amber. Appropriately named, Honey and Blue combines Darling’s sultry bluesy sounds with Amber’s sweet, whimsical take on lyrics and harmony.

Born and raised in Ohio, Darling met Amber while working at the same restaurant in Los Angeles. The two were both pursuing a career in music and quickly hit it off, writing together for more than a year before forming their band. After performing all over LA, at sought-after venues like The Beverly Hills Hotel, the duo moved back to the Midwest to continue work on their first album. They took jobs at The Worthington Inn and before long, began performing live music in the restaurant’s pub.

“The Worthington Inn has been a great place for us to perform,” said Amber. “We’re thankful for the opportunities they have given us and have been really pleased with the response we’ve received so far.”

On February 10, the band released its self-titled debut album, and began to tour, recently performing shows in New York and scheduling numerous gigs in Ohio. On March 1, they will host their first-ever CD release party at Skully’s Music Diner in Columbus, and they're expecting a great turnout. “We couldn’t be more proud of our first album,” said Amber. “This project has been a true labor of love for us and we’re excited to give back to the many people who have supported us on this journey.”

In addition to performing original music, Honey and Blue has also built an impressive repertoire of cover songs and is available to perform at parties or weddings. Their new album is currently available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Google and at www.honeyandblue.com.
